This notice explains how personal data may be processed when you visit drbarhan.com or contact the practice through this website. It is provided under Article 10 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). It is not a cookie consent form or a request for consent. Separate notices may apply to patient registration, examinations and clinical treatment.

1. Data controller and contact details

For this website and initial enquiries made through it: Uz. Dt. Barhan Pekel.

Address: Flora Plaza, Defne Sokak No:1, Floor 9, Suite 906, Ataşehir, Istanbul, Türkiye
Email: info@drbarhan.com

2. Categories of data

This website does not provide an online patient-registration or medical-file upload form. Please do not send detailed information about your child's health, test results or clinical images in an initial WhatsApp or email enquiry unless necessary. Health information is sensitive personal data and, when required, is handled subject to the applicable legal conditions and safeguards; it is not used for advertising.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Where sensitive health data is involved, the specific conditions and safeguards in Article 6 KVKK must also be met.

4. How data is collected

Technical website and preference data may be collected automatically through the website and its server. Contact details are provided by you through email, telephone or WhatsApp, by electronic or, where applicable, non-automated means.

5. Recipients and disclosures

Where necessary, information may be shared with web hosting, email and technical service providers to operate and secure the site; with external services such as WhatsApp/Meta or Google Maps when you choose to use them; and with Google Ads where optional conversion measurement is enabled. Disclosures may also be made to competent public authorities where legally required.

External platforms may process data under their own terms when you open or use them. Any international transfer of personal data must satisfy Article 9 KVKK; this notice does not itself constitute permission or consent for an international transfer.

6. Retention and security

Data is kept only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or for applicable legal retention requirements and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with the law. Technical and organisational safeguards are applied against unauthorised access. Third-party services may operate their own retention policies.

7. Your rights under KVKK

Under Article 11 KVKK, you may ask whether your data is processed, obtain information about its purposes and recipients, request the correction of inaccurate data and, where the conditions apply, deletion or destruction and notification to recipients; object to certain decisions based solely on automated processing; and seek compensation for unlawful processing.

For general enquiries, email info@drbarhan.com. Formal Article 13 KVKK requests must be submitted through the written or electronic channels permitted by law. Valid requests are answered as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.
